He provides some in-depth history of Ansarallah which is very helpful in understanding the Tribes Mitra discusses here. The information on both posts compliment one another quite well. By extension that give a hint into what Iran's next step will be.
This was the most informative article on what’s happening within Jordan I have read in many years. I have been wondering throughout the Gaza debacle what is going on with Jordan and King Abdullah. We hear almost nothing of them/him. Now I know why. I hope that they give option #2 a try.
There is a “tribe” you failed to mention - Palestinians. Almost half the population of Jordan are Palestinian refugees, most of which have full Jordanian citizenship. Incidentally, the Palestinian Al-Husseini clan was implicated in the assassination of King Abdullah I. How do Palestinians fit into the tribal mix? Jordan has a long history of Westernization. Why would that change? And, what would be an alternative power grouping if Jordan turned away from Western alliances?
Second, palestinians are not seen so much as a tribe than as an ethnic group.
One can argue about that, but this would not be the place for it.
Third, there are a lot of tribes, but I only put the top 5 in many ways including the Bani Hassan, Bani Sakher ,and Magili.
Fourth, that's what makes the palestinian issue so fascinating, because the current queen is a palestinian. However, because of her and her family's reputation, she is seen more as a detriment than help.

People tend to forget that although Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan are modern states that are built about a 100 years ago or so. However, their culture and tribes go back several thousand years.
So what king abdullah did is no difference that what MBS tried to do.
Unfortunately for both leaders, it has led to their own demise because they eliminated the very pillars they needed to maintain their power.
Thinking broadly, even our system of government is governed by tribal-like loyalties. Except the “tribes” take on ethnic or national origin or other similar loyalties. It’s not that different.
Excellent! There is no news of rumblings in Jordan, in Indian mainstream media. Why is Prince Hamza under house arrest when he only can restore the trust between the king and the tribe. How come this region still has powerful tribes while world over tribal influence has dwindled?
Jordan is a powder keg, can explode any time , the unlikely alliance with Israhell will backfire and the Israelis will try desperately to move all Palestinians to to Jordan and that will create a civil war war in Jordan

It seems there is another new “tribe” in town - Chinese. Any vacuum left by the U.S. and EU exit is being filled by Chinese investment.
