An excellent review and analysis of current events in West Asia effecting U.S. standing politically and economically. The effect on the American economy has not been fully revealed. More to come and it’s not going to look pretty. My guess is America’s political and financial elites will not and can not accept a change in status. Hence the road down from the hill will be rough and felt by all Americans. It just a matter of time.

I don’t think it was for a permanent seat. It was for one of the ten rotating seats. The first time Germany has missed out since 1990.

Yes, that's what I meant for the rotating seats. But the loss was massive.

By the way, thank you so much for subscribing and responding subscribing😊

It is clear that post WW11 balance of power no longer exist... A new geo-political frame is in the offering...

American hegemony shows signs of strain as military overreach, rising debt, political polarization, declining trust in institutions, and the rise of competing powers challenge its dominance. The belief that one nation can control the world is unrealistic and often self-defeating. While the United States remains powerful, its ability to shape global events without resistance has clearly weakened.

Trump is the weakener.

Nah he's just a symptom of declining power, the USA has been weakening for decades it's just not sustainable to expect to be a hegemonic global superpower forever, the rest of the world will eventually catch up

You're correct, it's a multipolar world today with multipolar actors in a global world where the pendulum of power has shifted from West to East
